Grade Four Turf Sprint (5f)
Grade Four Turf Sprint (5f)
[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]Riding our best white mare to the beach for her workout. The other horses were as well as it was going to be their workout after she was done. I checked her legs and wrapped them up making sure they wouldn't get injured as we didn't want to injure at this time. The season for Chocolate was amazing and she was still going great, we are hoping she would be a grade one when she retires, that's our goal with this mare anyway. The race was only two runners and the other horse was a bay colt from Silver Stride Stables, he was good horse with amazing record so far, the race was like a match race basically as both horses were same age and at the same form. Only difference is that Seattle was a front runner and could have a problem with keeping his speed for the end of the race. Chocolate was now exercise along the shoreline as her muscles were beginning to relax some more, it was the best way in making sure there was no injury. The mare loved the water and enjoyed having the liquid splashing underneath her belly as she warmed up, while we were warming up the fields were being marked so it was the five furlongs.
Standing by the beginning line, the mare was ready to get to work. I got myself into position and when the flag was down, I clicked my tongue and she responded right away, as I does this when she was in the gate. She broke cleanly and got into position by the ocean line like it was the rail. She was breezing some more and the speed was slow, as she was keeping herself to when it matters. The mare was enjoying the workout on the beach some more and we were thinking on doing this some more as Chocolate enjoyed it some more. I gave her a little kick to have gallop some more and she responded very well and I was happy, the mare have never fought with me and did what I ask all the time. The half way mark was coming and she spread her limbs out some more as she made her move up to the lead, and stalking the leader, as the other horses were falling behind her. Her ears were flat back as she was enjoying the run, she wanted to do this all day if she could.
The final two furlongs were up ahead and I clicked my tongue and gave her head, and she spread her limbs some more and she was breaking. Her legs went faster and faster some more. She was going into incerberalbe speed I just didn't know this mare had. The sand was getting flung behind us and we cross the line and Chocolate was neighing in joy, seeing she wanted to run some more, I decided to give her a gently breeze along the ocean, seeing she loved it so much.
